Case Closed

Today we got Mrs Taaffe to come in again, we told her the evidence that we had found. After we had told her all of the evidence she confessed to taking the HDMI cable and a few chocolates. But she said that she grabbed the HDMI cable because her chrome cast wasn't working and while she was grabbing it she got some chocolates as well.

Athletics Reflection

Yesterday it was the school athletics day. My favourite was 200 metre sprints and 100 metre sprints. I  won  four of my events and lost one event. The hardest event was the shot put. then i did relays I was first Runner we came 2th place it was really fun. for long jump i jumped 4.14m.Then im going to Hp.

Finger printing

 This week we looked at are finger print's i had all loop's.I did it with Ben.We put are finger's in ink then rolled them in it then rolled it on paper. There are three types of finger print's loop's whorl and arch. 

Crystas

This week for my workshop we made Crystas we use borax and food colouring hot water and then we had to stir it for like 5 minutes so the borax borax can dissolve then we had to get stick then we had to rap a piece of string on the stick

 today in in the workshops we made art with Crystas we used yellow food colouring,Epsom salt,magnesiumfate then we painted it onto a black piece of paper. The Crystas just started growing.

Whetū Workshops Reflection

 During Term 2 and 3 the Whetū students have had the opportunity to be involved in a range of different workshops.

The workshop that I have enjoyed participating in the most has been science and technology.

The new learning that I have learnt is you can make a little bout float on water with dishwashing liquid.

What I have most enjoyed about the workshops are science and cooking.

 I am interested in learning more about cooking and water in science.

Cross Country Reflection 2020

This year I participated in the NPS Cross Country held at school on the Ngatea Domain.  I ran in the 10 age group.

I am most proud of that I came 5th.  

I think my effort towards our training at school was kind of bad because I was talking to much.

I showed the Learning Power of Resilience by trying my best.

For Whetu challenge we had to make a cartoon we had Five options we picked The Simpsons I picked Bart. In are group there where Kyrahn and Sean Christopher Peyton. the hard's was tracing the image I think i did good tho.

Egg Drop Challenge

Today we had to make a creation  that wood stop a egg for cracking off the Grandstand. Are's did crack tho but it was fun watching the egg's drop off the Grandstand. We use two balloons and one paper bag and. and then we used a Old sock and new paper with some string and Sellotape.

My Term 2, 2020 Reflection

The new learning activity that I have enjoyed the most this term is basketball because it is fun playing in the hall.


Something that has challenged me this term has been number of the day and I'm trying to get better at my times tables.


The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was the catapult challenge and we won the highest pompom.


The opt-in workshop I enjoyed the most was the games in the hall.


An aim I have for my learning is to continue to learn my times tables.

EGG CARTON CREATION

This week for our Whetu Challenge we created something using egg cartons.

I made a sword with one egg carton I was going to pant it but I did not have enough time.

it was fun but it did not go as planed. I burnt my finger a couple times.

Whetu Challenge - Paper Planes





Today our challenge was to design an accurate paper plane. We were given a draft piece of paper to trial

and a good piece to use once we had tested the accuracy of it.


Before we started I thought this challenge was going to be amazing and fun.


I decided to use the design of a dart aeroplane.


The hardest part was getting it in the hanger.


During our competition time I managed to score 21.

Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws and a sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand alone (not leaning on anything or needing support).

Today I worked with peyton kyrahn.

At first we had trouble with the newspaper because it was hard to stand up. 

The easiest thing was the cup for holding the tennis ball. 

Overall I think that The most challenging part was the rubber band.

Our best results were Me and Kyrahn and peyton won the highest pom pom and we almost won the furthest challenge.

The things that I used to make my catapult were:

To make my catapult I worked with one spoon and four rubber bands and six sticks.

The most challenging part was the rubber bands they are hard to put on.

Our best results were we won one time.

Week 1 Reflection

What has been my highlight this week is seeing my friends for so long.

For dress up day I dressed up as a zombie patient.

What was I nervous about this week dress up.

The funniest thing has has happened this week is mr fraser's beard.

I think the best dressed person was kyrahn's.

The milk bottle creation I made was a race car. I made it with skewers and a hot glue gun. And I made a spoiler.

The hardest part was the wheel because I burnt my finger and it hurt. 

The easiest part was the skewers.

to day I went on  tt rock star's for about half an hour. Then I did a word find. I have made a slide presentation about turtles.  Check it out below, hopefully you might learn something new about turtles.

Today I have been on TT Rockstars levelling up.  Then I did Jump Jam and got my blood pumping!  Mum and I read chapter 5 of Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, it was pretty funny.  After lunch I have been on Study Ladder and thinking hard.  This afternoon I might try to think about the Anzac activity.
